Gina Barclay

Gina Barclay's CrossFit journey began in 2009 when Soupha convinced her to give it a try. Having just had her second child and dealing with weight gain from medication for severe anxiety, Gina found the idea of CrossFit intriguing. A former college athlete, she was hooked from day one. The post-workout euphoria and the camaraderie with friends kept her coming back every day.

The shared struggle during workouts made Gina realize she was in the right company. CrossFit was truly life-changing for her, allowing her to come off all her medications. Inspired by her transformation, Gina aquired her Level I certification and became a coach! Her mission? To help others change their lives through CrossFit, just as it changed hers.

Gina's coaching style is directive and technique-focused. She always identifies areas for improvement, emphasizing proper form while pushing athletes to achieve their potential. Building trust and getting to know her athletes is a source of pride for her.

Her favorite CrossFit movements include thrusters, cleans, wall balls, and the assault bike. However, running and burpees are not her cup of tea. You'll typically find Gina working out at 10:30 AM on days she coaches, 9:30 AM on Fridays, and occasionally on Saturdays at 8ish.

Outside the gym, Gina enjoys working in her garden, tackling home improvement projects, spending time with her kids, traveling, and exploring ceramics.
